Originally, GLCWatch was started as an information exchange portal for a group of investing friends that invested in GLCs.

Today, GLCWatch is focused on providing information on government linked companies (GLCs). Mainly following the investments of the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC) and Temasek Holdings. Through these GLCs, a portion of the savings and reserves of Singapore are safeguarded and multiplied. The secretive nature of these investment vehcles have been a constant debate in Singapore, as their performance, operations and reporting requirements are generally unknown. The release of the GIC yearbook in 2001 and Annual Reviews of Temasek Holdings in 2004 and 2005 have revealed some activities of these investment vehicles. However, the continued dominance of the Singapore economy of these investment vehicles continues to fuel interest in the their operations.

Here, with your assistance, we hope to uncover more of these investment vehicles by being a resource on these investment vehicles. Note, GLCWatch only acquires information from the media and official sources.

GLCWatch has expanded to provide more information on other government investment vehicles in Asia, such as Khazanah and Korean Investment Corporation (KIC). In the future, we hope to provide information on EPF, Dubai Holdings, Government Pension Fund, of Thailand, Future Fund of Australia and other government linked entities as it becomes more viable for us to do so.
